YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AT THE CENTRE OF KZN ECONOMIC RECOVERY STRATEGY and SALESIAN INSTITUTE YOUTH PROJECTS STITCH AHEAD PROGRAMME EMPOWERS 15 PHENOMENAL WOMEN

A Stellenbosch-based non-profit organisation (NPO) has partnered with the government’s National Development Agency (NDA) to implement an awareness campaign against gender-based violence (GBV) and bullying.

The UN World Summit on Social Development held in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1995 emphasised the importance of dealing with the challenges facing families in the whole world and these include crime, HIV and AIDS, moral degeneration, violence against vulnerable family members, poverty and youth unemployment.

The National Development Agency (NDA) and national Department of Social Development (DSD) will be hosting the final provincial Social Sector Dialogue in Western Cape. The Western Cape Social Sector Dialogue will be facilitated by the NDA as the secretariat of the Social Sector Summit in partnership with DSD and National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC), from the 28 – 29 May 2019 Langa, Cape Town.
